About ten years ago, during one of our tours to Sirince, we met a local woman named Emine. After a brief conversation, she invited us into her home. Our guests were thrilled to have the chance to see a traditional Turkish house, and we shared some tea together. Emine, however, insisted that we stay for lunch. Along with a delicious homemade meal, we tasted her homemade wine. It was a moment that truly captured the spirit of Turkish hospitality. I suggested she invite visitors more often to help her family earn extra income.
Since that day, I’ve been happy to recommend a lunch at Emine’s house to all of my guests. It’s a rare, authentic experience that offers a glimpse into village life and the chance to enjoy a delicious, home-cooked Turkish meal in a cozy, intimate setting.

- Your guide will meet you in either Kusadasi or Selcuk to begin your day.
- The first stop will be Ephesus, where you’ll explore the ancient ruins for about two hours.
- Next, you’ll visit the House of Virgin Mary, a serene and sacred site.
- Afterward, enjoy a scenic 20-minute drive to the village of Sirince, where you’ll have a homemade lunch at the home of a local villager.

- At the end of the day, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel or another location in the area.
