  • After meeting your Ephesus tour guide in Kusadasi or Selcuk, enjoy a short drive to the House of the Virgin Mary, where we typically spend 45-60 minutes. You may also have some additional free time for personal reflection or prayer.
  • According to Christian tradition, the Apostle John brought Mary to Ephesus after the Resurrection, and she is believed to have spent her final days here. The church built on the site of her house has been authenticated by both Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II.
  • Next, we’ll drive just 15 minutes to the ancient city of Ephesus, where we’ll spend around 2 hours exploring the ruins. Ephesus is the largest open-air museum in Turkey and the best-preserved classical city in the Eastern Mediterranean.

As you walk through this historic site, imagine the streets once walked by Cleopatra, Mark Antony, the Virgin Mary and John the Apostle.

Your expert guide will provide insights into the daily life of ancient Romans, as you visit iconic landmarks like the Celsus Library and the Great Theatre.

  • After the Ephesus exploration, enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant.
  • In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey to visit other key sites in the area, including the Temple of Artemis — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — and the Basilica of St. John, the burial place of the Apostle John.
  • We’ll also visit the Ephesus Museum, where you can see statues and artifacts uncovered from the ruins. We typically spend 30-45 minutes at each of these sites.
