Ephesus and Pamukkale Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Ephesus Tour
    • Start your 2 Day Ephesus and Pamukkale Tour by meeting your guide at your hotel in Kusadasi or Selcuk.
    • The first stop is the House of the Virgin Mary, a significant Christian site where Mary is believed to have spent her final days, after being brought to Ephesus by the Apostle John. The church built on the original house has been confirmed as authentic by both Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II.
    • Next, explore the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the largest open-air museums in Turkey and probably the best-preserved ancient city in the Eastern Mediterranean. Walk in the footsteps of Cleopatra, Mark Antony, Virgin Mary, and John the Apostle, all while your local guide shares insights into ancient Roman life.
    • After lunch, visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
    • At the end of your day, we’ll drop you back at your hotel.
  • Day 2 - Pamukkale Tour
    • Your Ephesus and Pamukkale tour continues with an early pickup from your hotel, as the drive to Pamukkale takes about three hours.
    • Upon arrival, we’ll begin by exploring the ruins of ancient Hierapolis, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site.
    • After a brief photo stop, we’ll continue to the impressive Roman Theater, where you’ll get a glimpse into the grandeur of the past.
    • Next, we’ll visit the Necropolis, a massive ancient cemetery housing over 2,000 graves, offering a unique insight into the lives of the ancient inhabitants.
    • We’ll also pass by the well-preserved Roman Baths before arriving at the Ancient Pool, where you can take a refreshing dip in the thermal waters.
    • Alternatively, you can choose to spend your free time walking barefoot across the famous Pamukkale Travertines, where the warm, mineral-rich thermal waters create calcium-enriched pools.
    • After the tour, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel or to Denizli airport, concluding your two-day journey.
